论文修改求助！！！！

　　论文修改求助！！！！。今天看到邮件，是petroleum science and technology的编辑的邮件，主要问题是说我的文字，页数要减少。
the total number of pages of the correctly formatted manuscript must not exceed 16
所以，我要根据期刊要求把论文格式改好，在改好的基础上不能超过16页。
下面是其中的两点。请问，该怎么该？比较好！
1.In the absence of tables and figures, the Editor may allow a greater number of text pages.
2. Allow margins of at least one inch (3 cm) on all sides of the typed pages

第一点，你不用改吧，他说你如果没有图、表，正文部分能写长点；第二点，你要把页面设置的四边界都该做3inch，你要改掉，然后注明我改啦。

3楼回答错误。是 one inch,就是2.54cm。
