Access 这样的审稿意见还有戏吗。7月12初投access,昨天返回了审稿意见,两个接受,一个但鼓励重投。

in this paper, the authors study an uplink cell-free massive multiple-input multiple-output system employing low-resolution analog-to-digital converter (adc) architecture with multiple-antenna access points and users. the novel tight expression for uplink spectral efficiency (se) and energy efficiency (ee) is derived. moreover, the simulation results are given to indicate that compared with perfect adcs architecture, low-resolution adcs can achieve a better ee-se trade-off by choosing a proper quantization bits. however, authors could address the following comments:
1. the recent advancement in cf massive mimo should be introduced, such as [r1-r2]

2. the assumption that pilot matrices of all users are pairwisely orthogonal is not always satisfied. the pilot contamination significantly degrades the system performance. please add the corresponding analysis.
3. as multiple antennas are equipped with each ap, the spatial channel correlation should be addressed, such as [r3].

4. in fig.2, the assumption of all large-scale parameters are equal to 1 is not realistic. please use more practical parameters for simulations.
5. the low-resolution adc problem has been extensively investigated in massive mimo systems, please compare the results in [r4] with this paper. furthermore, what is the benefit of using low-resolution adc in cf massive mimo.

1. equations (9) need to be cited or proved ( in appendix).
2. in the 1st paragraph of subsection b (line 20), it seems that the signal x<sub>k should be written in vector form like x<sub>k=√(ρ<sub>u η<sub>k )[s<sub>(k,1)s<sub>(k,2)… s<sub>(k,n)] , not as a sum of symbols.
3. in equations 16 and 17, the authors explain why expected-value has been used?
4. in the assumed model, i.e. the cell-free massive mimo, there is the effect of pilot contamination at the channel estimation phase. while the author did not mention it.
5. in the section conclusions (lines 52 to 55), the concept of paragraph “in addition, when the number of antennas of the user is small, deploying more antennas at the users can enhance the sum se performance of the system”, is contrary to the results of figure 3 and figure 4.
are the references provided applicable and sufficient?: the literature review is approximately enough. however, there are many works on low resolution massive mimo. the authors should be briefly refer to them in the literature review section, since they have the same theoretical foundation similar to this manuscript.

this paper analyses the performance of cell-free massive mimo with low-resolution adcs. the topic is novelty. the major comments of this paper are given as:
1. english word abbreviations need to give full name when first appearing, such as: zf.
2. the format of the references should follow the ieee format.
3. some practical parameters and models applied in this paper should given the reference, such as equation (24), fom_w in (26).
4. the difference between sum-rate and sum-se applied in the fig.4 should be defined.
5. the abstract of this paper should be updated to better illustrate the contribtuion of this paper.
6. some lituratures disscuss the problem of mmimo system design with low-resolution adcs should be introduced in the introduction, such as [r1].

另外我论文时间是7月12,审稿人1提出的文献[1],[3]都是在7月20号左右才被ieee数据库收录的。时具体文献还查阅不到。这个recommendation: reject (update and resubmit encouraged)是审稿人给的还是编辑给的?第一次投access,谢谢大家的帮助。

统计了一下今年国基的评审专家的学生,有不少ieee Access上的文章。我就不知道是否好咯评审专家是否傻蛋到自巴?
